Manual Lubrication
Oil is periodically applied using an oil can or brush by an operator.
Oil Bath or Splash Lubrication
This method uses an enclosed transmission housing. In oil bath lubrication, part of the chain and sprocket is immersed in oil, while splash lubrication relies on a larger oil slinger disc to distribute oil.
